statement

My interests lie within an exploration of collective and shared experience and the role of photography and printed media in the representation of experience. I am interested in the materiality of these forms and how experience is aestheticized. One particular motivation is the investigation of devices that hinder and obscure, and those that, unwittingly, contribute to contrivance and artifice of visual representation. This motivation keeps within my interest in the exploitation of the accidental and serendipitous as a strategy for creating artwork.
