statement

My interest is in the possibilities of the imagination. Through my art, I hope to initiate a refreshing experience by stimulating contemplation and escapism in a viewer.

Each of my works is conceived as a puzzle segment that provides a glimpse of a pictorial consequence. At first glance, environments I create are inviting and free to inhabit. However, upon closer observation a potentially dangerous new reality, spurred by form and ambiguity, come into focus.

Subsequently, a viewer will find that my work comments on current social and environmental issues while revealing how I see the world around me: interconnected and constantly shifting between the familiar and unfamiliar.
